About Us

Dwarf Palmetto Design was created by Amber and Jason Schoneman. This duo met 20 years ago at a botanical garden, igniting a shared passion for plants and nature-inspired landscapes.

Collectively, they have multiple decades of experience and college-level education in landscaping, horticulture, and plant biology. In the last 20 years, they have traveled the world to research many of the world's diverse plant habitats, including humid subtropical climate regions similar to Central Texas. Dwarf Palmetto Design was created from a desire to provide nature-inspired landscape design, Central Texas-adapted plant selections, and consultation on the continual care of the created landscape.
